What is Tarot?

The tarot, first known as Trionfi and later as that Tarocchi, Tarock, and others is a pack of playing cards (most commonly numbering 78) used from the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe to play a group of card games such as Italian Tarocchi and French Tarot. The Tarot was also found to be used by mystics and occultists in efforts at divination or as a map of mental and spiritual pathways. 

A tarot reader uses the tarot as a tool to tap into their intuition. Tarot can also be used creatively for self development and more. A tarot reader will create a spread and pull cards. By looking at the cards the reader can try to find answers and meaning from the cards - but also by what the cards "trigger" via the channels of insight.
